The PTC was established as the core team engaged in project preparation. The PTC’s role is to oversee the technical aspects of all four project components in order to ensure sound implementation and decision-making. The PTC represents the different entities that are directly responsible for the implementation and supervision of the project.
The Committee is comprised of the following high level MOEHE officials:
-Dr. Fahoum Shalabi, Assistant Deputy Minister for Higher Education, Chair
-Dr. Mohammad Al-Subu‘, Head of AQAC, Member
-Mr. Ibrahim Abdelhaleem, Director General of Planning and Capacity Building, Member
- Eng. Izz Eldeen Ibrahim, Director General of Computer and Technology for Higher Education
-Ms. Suha Khalili, PCU Director, Member
-Dr. Hani Nijim, TEP Gaza Coordinator, Member
The PTC meets regularly to: (i) plan and approve project activities and action plans, (ii) review project progress reports compiled by the PCU with inputs from the various entities, and (iii) advise on improving the implementation of various activities when necessary. The Committee is assisted by local and international consultants, as needed. The PTC reports to the Minister on a regular basis.
